Judge Scoring

• Judges may give half-point (.5) scores to allow for finer distinctions. 

• Judges can provide contestant feedback. Individual scores can be shared with a contestant…if comfortable doing so. You can also refer the contestant to a  board member.

• No perfect scores please.

• Please do not leave in the middle of the qualifier when someone is singing.

Vocal Judging (Score 1 to 10):

• Song Choice – Does the song suit the contestant’s voice and style?

• Pitch Accuracy – Are they on key throughout the performance?

• Creativity – Do they bring a unique touch to the song?

• Vocals Match Music – Does their singing fit the tempo and style of the track?

• Confidence – Do they sing with assurance and control?

Stage Presence (Score 1 to 5):

• Confidence – Do they command the stage?

• Creativity – Is their performance original and engaging?

• Performance & Expression – How well do they convey emotion and energy?

• Attire – Is their outfit appropriate for their performance?

• Crowd Engagement – Do they interact with the audience? (Not required but encouraged.)

•  Enjoyment Factor – Do they look like they’re having fun?
